Take a Hop on Hop Off bus tour

Now I know this sounds crazy, going for a bus tour around Berlin in winter. Winter time in Berlin will often be dark, cold, grey and often snowing. But I believe this is a perfect time to take a bus tour. You can see the city from the inside of a bus, meaning you don’t have to walk everywhere in the cold weather. And the great thing about it is that you can hop off at a place you want to visit, and then get back on another bus and travel to another location you want to visit.

And if you are looking for cheap hop on hop off Berlin bus tours, compare the prices below. These are some of the cheapest Berlin bus tours you will find, and using the links below will give you an automatic 10% discount! Just click on the picture of your selected tour.

Berlin Wall Memorial

Dress up warmly, as this is an outside location. Perhaps you could combine it with our recommendation above with the Hop-on Hop-off Bus tour of the Berling wall. Don’t go to the East side gallery, but rather go to the Berlin Wall memorial, which is an open-air exhibition near Bernauer Strasse.

The address to find the Berlin Wall memorial is: Bernauer Str. 111

The Berlin Wall memorial opening hours are normally between 8am and 10pm

The Computerspielemuseum (Computer Games Museum) is a must visit, especially if it is a cold winter day. If traveling with children, they will love visiting this museum. Not traveling with children? no problem, adults will love visiting this as well. This museum is entirely dedicated to computer video games, arcade games and different console games. You can play numerous games as well for as long as you want. Games you could play would be, amongst others, the original Pac-Man, Frogger, Super Mario, etc. I would really recommend you visit this museum.

Computerspielemuseum address: Karl-Marx-Allee 93a

Ticket prices 2020:

Regular: € 9 (after 6 pm: € 7)
Reduced: € 6 (after 6 pm: € 5)

Pergamon Museum

Pergamon Museum, situated on the Museum Island in Berlin, is a wonderful museum. It houses many life-sized reconstructions of many historical places. And not just fake reconstructions, but the actual historical place was taken apart, transported to the museum and reconstructed inside the museum’s massive rooms. This is something that should not be missed.

AquaDom & SEA LIFE Berlin

Another great place to visit on a cold winter day in Berlin. According to their website:

“Take an exciting underwater trip and discover more than 5,000 fascinating aquatic animals. Follow the path that water takes from the Spree River to the depths of the Atlantic and then on to tropical areas. Experience a very special type of dive in the AquaDom, the largest freestanding aquarium in the world. Get in the glass elevator and swim through one million litres of saltwater and swarms of tropical fish”
